Community Activist Alexis Ervin Plans County Wide March for Justice & Voter Registration Drive for Williamson County

Meet  25 year old community activist and Huston-Tillotson University graduate Alexis Ervin. She moved to Texas to attend college and after graduation continues to work to make her Round Rock community a better place for everyone.

After the death of George Floyd and others, Ervin gathered 25 friends and volunteers to help her organize city-wide call for unity and peaceful protest including a March for Justice and Voter Registration Drive in Round Rock on Saturday June 13th at 9:30am.

Ervin says, “Ever since I moved to Williamson county I have heard many concerns and the way people are treated with sheriffs as well as the police department. I’m trying to bridge a gap with the community so they feel comfortable to express these kinds of concerns and we can move forward with solutions such as trainings for officers that can be taught by community leadership and programming for the community.”
