Active Kids Summer Camp
This Summer, give your child a week of healthy, body-smart activities. Children will receive daily instruction that introduces them to the adventure of martial arts and the joy of yoga, as well participate in creative projects that improve community awareness. Each day will end with fun free time in Hoppin’ House, the indoor inflatable playground. The Wee Warriors are for ages 3-5 and the Pyon Moo Do Kids program is for ages 6-13.

Adventure Cook
Each of the five days the cooks will do two unique recipes. In between the recipes we will run around on the playground (weather permitting) to get our crazies out. As always there will be a story tied to each of the recipes. We are really excited about this format, as we have to pass on so many recipes due to the time constraints on our class. Imagine, four hours—nothing is off limits!

Alamo Recreation Center Summer Camps
Alamo Recreation Center is located in Alamo Park at 2100 Alamo Street. The facility consists of a multipurpose room, crafts room, kitchen and office. The park includes a playscape, volleyball court, t-ball field and a covered, computer lab, lighted basketball court. Camps are divided by ages 5-8, 9-12, 12-18.

Arthur Murray Kids Ballroom Dance Camp

Austin Dog Alliance Summer Camps

Austin YBML Sunshine Camp
Sunshine Camp is conducted by the Young Men’s Business League and it is free to those children who are selected. The campers stay for seven days overnight at the camp located at Zilker Park, for ages 7-11, and Lake Travis, for ages 12-17. The camp program, under the supervision of experienced counselors, includes swimming, team building exercises, hiking, challenge course activities, map and compass activities, campfire programs, camping skills, outdoor cookery, canoeing and first aid, which give the children a well-rounded summer camp. Badgerdog Creative Writing Summer Camp
Summer workshops are led by Austin’s best writers: award-winning poets, novelists, playwrights, and essayists. Students write poetry and prose, and learn to revise and edit their work for publication. The camp culminates in the publication of a beautiful, library-quality anthology and two public readings, the second followed by a book signing with our student authors. Each student receives a copy of the published anthology, which is also donated to the Austin Public Library system and sold at Book People.

A camp designed by Toni Bravo to let young children experience dance and related art forms on many levels. Bee Cave Riding Center Summer Camp
BCRC Summer Camp offers a low student-to-instructor ratio from a qualified staff with a positive approach to teaching. It is a weeklong program, Monday through Friday, with camps available most weeks of the summer from early June through mid-August. Each week of Summer Camp includes high-quality English and Western riding instruction, as well as classes in horse science and horse management. Camp also includes a fine arts program including pottery and ceramics, and time for swimming and water fun. Brandy Perryman Shooting Camp
Shooters are developed, not born. We take great pride in developing campers to their fullest potential during our four day basketball camp. Camp Invention

Camp IW2H
Camp IW2H is a non-profit summer camp program dedicated to academics, activities, and adventure! We dedicate the proceeds to other community outreach projects! Fees range from free scholarships or reduced tuition, which depends on your household size and income to $450/monthly session. We will focus several subjects on topics about how to help the environment and how to help others. With each field trip, we will also incorporate a lesson plan that accompanies it. Camp One World
Everyone’s favorite little red truck from Missoula Children’s Theatre returns with everything necessary to put on an amazing full-scale musical production on the One World Theatre stage—everything except the cast. Child’s Day Summer Camp
All children in the summer program have once-weekly tumbling classes and swimming lessons three times per week. The progressive swimming classes include a 20-minute lesson and 20 minutes of recreational swimming and play. In addition to swimming and gymnastics/sports, a host of special indoor and outdoor events are planned including field trips in and around Austin, parties, creative dramatics, computers, indoor/outdoor games, picnics, and exploration of nature. In 2000 a mother’s need for “something more” for her son with dyslexia sparked an idea to start a summer camp for children with reading difficulties.  Summer school and highly advertised centers could not meet her son’s specific needs, and as a parent of a child with dyslexia, she knew what areas to address. Rock Camp USA
Rock Camp USA offers three camps for your child: “Lil’ Rockers” for ages 5-7, “Opening Acts” for ages 8-16, and “Headliners” for skilled musicians ages 11-19. “Headliners” features intensive performance-oriented instruction given by some of the finest professional musicians in the country. The rockers form bands, record a CD, perform live at a real world venue and receive a multi-tracked, professionally edited DVD of the show. The “Opening Acts” experience is very similar to “Headliners,” but the pace is slower due to the steep learning curve.  The ultimate goal is to perform live at the show. “Lil’ Rockers” camp is for younger children who also want a chance to learn and perform. University of Texas Filmmaking Camps for Teens & Adults
The Department of Radio-Television-Film at The University of Texas at Austin offers summer film camps that take place on the UT campus, in the same building where the “Austin City Limits” television special is filmed. Campers work with RTF faculty and equipment to produce a short film project. The intensive workshop structure gives students the opportunity to focus on various aspects of the filmmaking process including screenwriting, production and editing.

The Summer Academy is geared toward people who have little to no background in architecture and who wish to test and refine their interests in the field. Applicants to the Summer Academy range from age 17 to older adulthood and are typically considering applying to undergraduate or graduate degree programs in architecture at the University of Texas at Austin or other comparable institutions of higher education. ZACH Theatre Variety Summer Camps
ZACH’s camps engage children in theatre arts and provide an imaginative and active summer of fun. Each week, campers can experience a unique theme exploring the theatre world through acting, song and dance, comedy improv, theater games and more. Campers are grouped by age to create and rehearse a production presented for friends and family at the session’s end on Friday.
